People Moves: Bitvore, KX, Wolters Kluwer, Neuravest & more

A look at some of the key people moves from this week, including Elizabeth Pritchard (pictured), who joins Bitvore as CEO.

Bitvore names former Goldman Sachs and Crux data exec as CEO

Alternative data firm Bitvore has appointed Elizabeth Pritchard as CEO to drive greater adoption among financial firms, and to expand the firm’s offerings. 

Pritchard has served as an advisor to the firm for the past 18 months. She takes over the CEO role from Jeff Drake, who will continue to serve as president, focusing on partnerships and strategy. 

Pritchard most recently ran her own alt data advisory firm, White Rock Data Solutions. Before that, she was co-founder and head of go-to-market at Crux Informatics. 

Before her time at Crux, she served as the chief operating officer for science at AIG. Before that, she spent 19 years at Goldman Sachs, where she held various roles, including managing director and global head of market data services. 

KX boosts FX sales team with new hires

Real-time streaming analytics provider KX has added four senior talent to its sales team to focus on its FX solutions business. This is part of a broader global expansion of its sales force under the leadership of new chief revenue officer, Alan Coad. 

Sharon Yuen and Chetan (CJ) Mhatre have joined KX in Singapore. Yuen joins most recently from R3 and IHS Markit. She will focus on the Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia markets. CJ has had experience working for Swift, Integral and Thomson Reuters. CJ will grow the business in developing markets of South Asia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines. Both of them will also cover KX Platform Sales, including multi-asset surveillance and algo trading solutions. 

Meanwhile, Karl Dundon joins the FX sales team based in New York. Dundon, who joins from Exegy, will drive sales across North America. Finn Jakobsen, the most recent addition, will lead FX sales in Emea based in Copenhagen. Before joining KX, Jakobsen ran his own consulting business, and has worked in a few FX fintechs after his time at Saxo Bank. 

Wolters Kluwer appoints Vinci as strategic advisor

Wolters Kluwer’s Finance, Risk & Regulatory Reporting (FRR) business has appointed Donna-Maree Vinci as a strategic advisor for Australia, as it scales up operations in the country to help banks comply with regulatory obligations. 

Vinci has 30 years of financial experience, including senior positions at Tier-1 global and Australian banks. For 12 years, she was CIO and global head of technology risk management for Citigroup. Between 2015 and 2019, she was chief operations, digital & information officer for The Bank of Queensland.

Neuravest taps JP Gravitt for data and strategy role

Neuravest Research, an AI-driven model portfolio solution provider for institutional investors, has hired JP Gravitt as head of data and strategy. Gravitt will be responsible for the opening and staffing of Neuravest’s New York City office.

Gravitt has a mix of fundamental stock analysis experience paired with expertise in the use of alternative and other types of data. Before joining Neuravest, he was the director of research at alternative data provider 7Park Data. 

While at 7Park Data, he built a team of experienced investors to analyze and contextualize data sets. He began working on solutions that combined fundamental investing with data analysis, which he will apply to his new role at Neuravest. 

Ex-BBH Stephen Bruel joins Coalition Greenwich

Coalition Greenwich, a provider of data, analytics, and insights to the financial services industry, has appointed Stephen Bruel as a senior analyst on its market structure and technology team. 

Bruel will head the derivatives and FX practices, with an added focus on market infrastructure. He joins from Brown Brothers Harriman, where he was vice president and head of derivatives product management. At BBH, he was responsible for defining the firm’s derivatives strategy, including product development and prioritization of capital and technology investments. 

Before BBH, he was a research director at TowerGroup’s securities and investment practice. He has also worked at State Street and Citi in various operations, project, and technology management roles.  

Capitolis adds James Reilly as head of equity and TRS

Capitolis has added James Reilly as its head of equity and total return swaps (TRS) funding solutions. Reilly will lead the development and execution of a suite of equity financing products to help financial institutions address their balance sheet needs and risk exposures. 

Before joining Capitolis, Reilly was a senior managing director of State Street Global Markets and the CEO of Currenex, a provider of FX technology owned by State Street. He also previously served as global head of macro sales and trading at Cantor Fitzgerald and head of FX and derivatives for prime brokerage at Morgan Stanley.

BCS Global Markets adds to structured products team

BCS Global Markets, the investment banking services division of Russia’s largest independent broker, has appointed Konstantin Pavlov and Ekaterina Naumova as co-heads of the firm’s structured product team. 

Pavlov will be responsible for structured product sales to Russian and international clients, while Naumova will focus on infrastructure development, including trading. Pavlov joins BCS after spending three years at Rosbank, where he was head of structured products sales to institutional and retail clients. He has worked at Merrill Lynch in London, and Goldman Sachs in Moscow, where he supervised financial institution and structured product sales to institutional clients. 

Naumova joined BCS as deputy head of corporate finance and later became the head of capital structures and finance. Before joining BCS, Naumova was the head of debt capital market at TransCreditBank for seven years.
