Maples Expands Services Through Geneva Contract
Maples Fund Services, an independent fund services provider headquartered in Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands with operations in Canada, Dubai, Dublin, Hong Kong and Luxembourg, with approximately $30 billion under administration, has rolled out Advent Software's Geneva portfolio management and fund accounting platform.
According to Advent, Maples has expanded its services beyond traditional fund administration to offer enhanced reporting and middle-office capabilities.
Maples implemented Geneva to link its offices via a single, real-time portfolio accounting platform.
Through the use of Geneva, supported by in-house developed technology, Maples is now able to provide detailed and timely reporting and middle-office capabilities that investment managers require.
BST's analysis:
Advent, an old hand in the hedge fund space, appeals to fund managers on many levels: its Moxy OMS is arguably the most successful front-office tool currently in existence (with over 850 buy-side implementations globally), while its trio of middle- and back-office platforms (Advent Geneva, Advent APX, and Advent Axys) have deep buy-side traction. There is little doubt that Advent's track record and its wide range of products (and the interoperability between those offerings) played a part in the Maples contract.
