Intercap Corretora Rolls Out Valdi for Derivatives Trading
Intercap Corretora, the brokerage service arm of São Paulo-based Banco Intercap, is about to go into production with multiple Valdi products from trading software and services provider SunGard to improve the firm’s derivatives trading offering, vendor officials tell Sell-Side Technology.
"The firm has just completed user acceptance testing," says Lionel Sancenot, executive vice president, global trading, at SunGard. "Typically, these deployments take about between 30 and 60 days to implement, depending on the type of integration required."
Intercap has taken Valdi Trader, Valdi Direct Market Access and Valdi Bus, which replace the exchange-trading screen provided by Brazilian exchange BM&FBovespa used by Intercap traders.
"With the electronification of the market, Valdi will help us increase our capacity to help clients execute trades by offering low-latency execution," explains Alcides Venâncio Júnior, director of technology at Intercap Corretora. "By managing multiple asset classes from one platform with direct access to global markets, we will be able to offer our services to a broader client base.”
