Enel Taps Trayport’s Internal Marketplace

The energy trading arm of Italian energy firm Enel Group has turned to Trayport to optimize its internal order flow prior to sending it to the wholesale power market.

Enel traders will use GlobalVision Internal Marketplace to trade among its other group companies, such as Endesa SA, and other firms using Trayport's GlobalVision Trading Gateway technology, according to vendor officials.

"By selecting Trayport's Internal Marketplace, Enel Trade will be able to reduce operating risks and costs, to maximize netting opportunities and to simplify traders' execution," says Leonardo Zannella, head of trading at Enel Trade S.p.A. "At the same time, our internal counterparties will have real-time and transparent access to all energy markets through a quick and easy execution platform."
